In Defense of Food

Why do people choose to eat products that are unhealthy for them?
I believe the huge problem is that the perspective of the prices on organic and non-organic foods gives the public fright because currently we are not doing well in the current economic status that we are in. Also, we are more or less ingnorant in food choice well mainly because theres a "HUGE" selection out there in local stores from junk foods to processed foods where organic fruits etc. are a small percentage in differentiality.

What roles/responsibilities does the gov't have in framing your traces?

I think that the government has the roles to regulate the chemical modifications towards the crops we inherit in the local supermarkets/farmers stores. Also the goverenment should have the responsibilties to protect us towards what harm the genetically modified foods could do to us. I think that also the government should help us, well more or less make a big impact on having us know what were consuming if it is either healthy or harmfull.

  1. i agree with you Brian. Do you think the government should makes us aware of what is happening to the food, or just to regulate it?
